FY '12 NDAA

People have been screaming for decades about the constant erosion of freedoms in the USA. And now, here comes the NDAA. Ladies and gentlemen, screw optimism; this spells the end of the same freedoms the USA was seen to champion. And now, for once, the American people cannot blame 'nefarious foreign elements' for trying to destroy the supreme way of life, the American way of life. For that, has been done, by their very own representatives, the destruction of everything the USA claimed to represent.

Remembrance

I studied at Aitchison College, Lahore (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aitchison_College)  for 6 years, and had the privilege of living there for 13. And though my new school is brilliant, it quite frankly, does not hold a candle to the near-perfect time I spent at Aitchison. And often, I wonder why, I quit Aitchison. Why? 




My hopes may crumble with the dying years
My soul may wander into a starless gloom
My eyes may gaze on Autumn leaves and pine
For happier springs which I once knew
Yet in this despairing gloom a tree shall ever stand
Constant against the furies of many a raging storm
There a bird shall always sit and sweetly,gently,hum

I'm not certain whether I'll ever get over Aitchison College. What is for certain, though, is....that Aitchison, I love you.

The Gullible-20 and the Cannes Summit

For gullible, think naive. What possibly do they hope to achieve? Shall we, in generous terms, say, perhaps another failure? The world survived the fiascoes in Toronto and Seoul. Only resulted in more...rigorous times.

Yes, the G-20 turns a blind eye to the needs of the poor. Just my opinion. Lacks a voice for everyone. Just my opinion. Should not have any credibility as an internationally important economic forum. The opinion, I hope, of a lot more people other than me. For sanity's sake, I hope Cannes is the last G-20 summit. After all, an exercise in futility rarely does any good.

First of...

Ah, another year, another blog... Here for about three days, I'd say, looking at how the previous ones turned out. Brilliant. Then, another year, another blog. Unless, of course, the dirt is shoveled. We'll see. If you're reading this... you're probably me :D.... It's what happens. Every time.
